Powerpoint Presentation of my Make Up design

This is my Powerpoint presentation on the Make up that i sent to my partner and how the design looked like when applied on me and the idea.

How i felt about the application of my design on me

I think the applying of the base was a easy idea, as it was Kryolan Supracolor in white, as i thought this would be easier to apply than the Illamasqua skin base as it can be streaky looking even when buffed in and can crease if not set quick enough, but was good as when put the Illamasqua Powder eyeshadow black on top it didnt come off and it moved how i wanted it to, with the green from the same palette went on good, as is grease as well, my partner made a good job of that and the time management was very good and showed skill of what i wanted to create and changed it slightly, but still looked like what i wanted in the end.

When communicating i think we could have done better, because we didnt get on to well with what we were trying to do and should have practiced more to be more confident in what was happening.

I think the eyelashes and eyebrows were blocked out very well and made it look more Elizabethan and i find the Kryolan Supracolor make it look much more pale than the other Illamasqua Skin base, The part i like the most is on the neck as it goes thinner and fades as it goes down and gives a nice angle on the neck. The black isnt as blended in on it as i hoped, but where it goes up on to the forehead i like, as it blends in with the hair line. More Kryolan white on the neck would have made the green stand out more though, as it looks slightly odd with very pale skin on my face but the neck is my natural colour, but i could have been more clear in the design idea though.

Assessment of my doing my partners design

When doing this i felt i needed more practice on it to have more confidence of what i had to do, but i think i needed more information though as of who to exactly do what she wanted be to achieve, so i wouldn't feel nervous about doing it. When applying the Illamasqua skin base was easy and i did it a lot faster than i usually do and when setting it with the Illamasqua powder, but after that with the Kryolan Supracolor Palette i didn't feel confident and wanted more information written down, as the face chart was done well, i just couldn't tell the skills that were done to create it.

With the blusher from the Kryolan blusher palette was supposed to create the Elizabethan look on the cheek, and then using a lighter fleshy shade from that palette to sweep across from it all the way to the edge of the face, which i think i did well and was better than the practice, but now i know how to do it. I found that i ran out if time, so i had to to the brows and lashes as quick as i could and got some on the makeup as i did so, the lips i found difficult as she wanted reverse Ombre lips, with the skin base around the lips then the dark red from the Kryolan Supracolor, because i had never done it before and looked better than i thought it did, for the first time doing, but was quite messy and wasn't the look my partner wanted. Overall i think better communication between us and more practice would have saved it a bit, but i still feel i did well with the skin base application and powder setting.

This was the design after the one underneath as this is clearer to understand, with notes, but i still found it difficult to comprehend exactly where the pink on the eyelid ended exactly, but as with timing i didnt get to do the darker brown colour for a contour look, so that was what i could have done better and now i know need better time management with how long to be applying things.

3rd Design Experimentation

I used Kryolan Supracolor Palette in White and the green was also from that palette and i have buffed it in afterwards, i think it has blended in well and shows the whit base very well. I used Illamasqua Pure Pigment in Obsidian for the eyelids and that so they messy, but then blended at the top.

I want to make it more at a angle so that i can apply it down the neck and i didnt blend the black at the top this time, which i need to do in order to make the design work. On the next experimentation i will include that to show it is not just something random.

I like this side better than the other and i need to work on how messy it is and not all the way down the face, but at a angle.I think the green needs to be blended in more to create a more dabbing motion with a brush on the skin, than like this, as it looks quickly applied.

2nd idea proper practice

The products that were used for this practice was Kryolan Supracolour palette in white, as i think it works better to not have any streaks and buffs in properly.

For the black was Illamasqua pure pigment Obsidian and then Kryolan Supracolor palette in Green, that i have blended in with the black. But the green is supposed to be falling downwards so that it looks like it is coming off. I do need to experiment with it more and see if i can blend the green in more, as it is quite bright.

For it extending to the neck, i need to think about what to do with the pattern of the green on the cheeks, on whether to apply it at a angle going towards to the edge of the face.

With this i need to practice more of how i want the blending to look like and how the texture would look. With the black on the eyelids it needs to be darker and mixed in with the green so it is a darker tone and then into a lighter one, so it starts to fade.

The side is slightly different and it is right all the way under the eye, instead of into the middle, and it is green under there, i want to make it black eye shadow under it. The green needs to be extended all the way down the face, to the edge.

7

Overall i just need to practice it again to make sure it is how i want it and what i want to change about this way of applying it. I like how it looks from the front here, as it is blended very well, but need to work on the when i photograph the sides, they need to look perfect as each other. The green does need to be blended more into the skin, but still dabbed, like it looks like it is falling off.

2nd Idea Experimentation

I experimented with my idea first on myself to see what it would look like. The Applying of the Illamasqua Pure Pigment Obsidian was good, but not easy when trying to blend with the green to get two different tones.

I used Kryolan Supracolor Palette in White to get on the skin as the base, as i think it goes on easier, with less streaks and doesn't come off as much as the Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation when powder is put on top or when buffing in.

I want the black to come halfway down the face, as i would be adding the green into and wanted it to blend, but looking as the wealth is coming off, with the black meaning authority.

So with the Kryolan Supracolor palette in green, i dabbed and pushed it on with a brush down the face, like a crumbling sort of look.

I wanted the eyeshadow to be under the eyebrows and not over, as they could look like eyebrows, but the it is to be messy, because need to blend it in at the end over onto the edge of the face.

I think the application here is a little messy, even if it is supposed to be, just not how i wanted it, so i need to work on that.

I have extended it down into the neck, but i need to think about how it would look as the actual design, because i could blend the green in more with another tone of it, as it looks faded slightly, which is good, but i think i need to practice how the texture would be.

I think it has more depth once it is blended at the top, because i wanted the eye shadow to do that, so stood out and wasn't just there, had something to make it part of the face

The white base did come off slightly when i did this, but just trying not to press to hard and to much when doing it again.

Elizabethan MakeUp

For this practical i was practicing the Elizabethan makeup. The products that were used were Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation, that i buffed in and used Illamasqua's pressed powder on top to set it. But what i need to practice is the blend of it into the skin,as the foundation didn't go all the way to the top of the forehead and i didn't cover the ears with it.

Next i needed to block the eyebrows out with Kryolan Supracolor Palette white with a mascara wand, but with this i need to learn more, as i didn't cover the brows, because as you can still see the eyebrows natural colour, so i need to work on that. Covering the eyelashes was easy though, but trying not to be to rough of it, as it is very close to the eyes.

I had to use the Kryolan Blusher palette to make the blush on the cheeks, but i did it very pale, as didn't want to do to make it to over the top, but worked anyway.

I used Kryolan Minipalette for lips and the red was a good tone with the skin tone and wasn't to over the top or anything, Just need to work on the lips and blending the white base more into the skin.

2nd Ideas Face charts

The Products i used in this was Kryolan Aquacolour and i mixed that with water, to make it drip down the face and look like the wealth is coming off slowly. The black was Illamasqua Pure Pigment Obsidian, which i did mix slightly with the aquacolour green so it looked blended in more.

I used Kryolan Supracolour Palette for the green and just dabbed it in with a brush, then to finish it and have a gleam to it , Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Solstice, which has a slight orangey tone, but don't really notice it.

This was the design i wanted to go with most and have experimented with, but and i want to create the same sort of thing, but need to think about how the neck would be blended in with the other part on the face. The products were Illamasqua Pure Pigment Obsidian and then Kryolan Supracolor Palette green. I think this is a great way to show the wealth coming off with the black smudge eyeshadow, shows she was important to the queen and she knew she was. It looks very fantasy, which is what i like about it, as my character wanted to be different and a bit of a rebel.

Crumbling, dripping Textures for Inspiration

For my design i have looked at textures to show the characters wealth is coming off and wanted to be inspired by these cracking and dripping texture, that i want to think about experimenting more with. I like this one, but i think it is to much, i would not want it really thick.

http://www.dreamstime.com/royalty-free-stock-image-abstract-paint-drip-background-texture-image1787826

I like this more, as it is rain, it is like a rain texture and looks like dots, which is what i would look at doing on the face, with green makeup.

http://naldzgraphics.net/textures/free-snowfall-and-raindrop-texture/

This is dripping wax, but shows a good texture for my design i want, but i don't like the colour, as it is quite bright. It does remind me of water though and how there is a lot of waves,

http://donnamarie113.deviantart.com/art/Blue-Dripping-Wax-Texturation-359761634

A more rust than what i want, but i like how it is crumbling, but dotted around in certain places, where the paint is chipping off. It makes me think of ideas of dabbing the make up on or dripping to make it look like the wealth is going.

1st idea Experimentation

This was basically the first idea that i had and the make up was Green and Black, the products that were used were White base, Kryolan Supracolour Palette, For lips and eyes.

What i like is the colour that comes around the eyes going into towards the nose. The other is how i wanted it to look tribal, and powerful, so before the queen died, and the lady in waiting was very wealthly and didnt want to be like anyone, so i made it bold and big to get that across.

What i dont like about it is the lips, they need to be in more detail and not just mixed in with a white and look like paint, i need to experiment more with the applying of that. The eyeshadow, needs to be thicker and bolder on the eyes, but other than that i think it went well as a first gone, but developing it further would help to know what exactly i want to achieve.

1st Idea Face Charts

I used the Mac Palette of the black shimmery eyeshadow, with Kryolan Supracolor palette in Green.

The lips were the same, and i like how the the black is mixed with the green, so that it looks darker, going towards the nose.

Using mac Palette again with the black, and a purple in the palette. The lips are Kryolan in Purple, with mixture of black in the middle.

I made this quite tribal and gothic, as i thought the character would look that way, and be more after the quen had died, so it is kinda bruised looking on the eyelids.

I was going for more of a night out look, but not over the top and the eyes slightly gothic, with the to much black eyeshadow, which is flicked up towards the edge of the face.

I like the lips most of all with the different shade of red and pinks, and the black faded into it.

The products were Illamasqua pure Pigment in Black. The lips were Kryolan mini palette for lips.

More Make up ideas for eyes

Yellow dress, Yellow eyes, Yellow lipstick, and extremely long eyelashes!:
What i want to think about is what the design of the eyes will look like, im thinking big eyelashes, the colour of them, and what will i do. Im going to experiment with dying the eyelashes a colour i have chosen that goes with it and the reflect to what happened and why.

I want to experiment with the eye lashes coming out down the face into the other parts of the make up, like the characters wealth is starting to come off and going.

Green Feather False Lashes: I really this false eyelashes with the green and how it is inspired me to want to create a green colour on them, to do with my design, of wealth on the character and i do want to make them big and bold.

MostlyWanted Website inspirational Paintings

Going off topic, i found out about an amazing website and gallery that sell illustrations on Instagram, that are done with a model, but they are so realistic. They are very gothic looking, but a great inspiration to looking at for make up and ideas.I have put links to all their main pages. The artist is Tom Bagshaw and he is a illustrator, and  the work does sell out fast. They are digital as well, and prints when sold.

An example of one of his images, that he has produced, i love how it still looks so realistic, the images are digital done as well, but they look like photographs. The make up design, to me is alternative and gothic looking and making the woman look very powerful and in control.

How to do false eyelashes

A good blog about how to apply and remove false eyelashes. Just thought would add it on here, as it is useful information, and i want to use them in my design.

My new Make up Idea for my design

For my design i want to look at how the makeup is crumbling or coming off, like splitting. It is to be with how my character is losing wealth as the queen is dying, and she wont have a job, or a husband then.

What i want to look at is maybe products i could use on the face, like a face mask, or applying a lot of base and foundation to the face to make texture into it, or into the make up its self. The main colour is green, to show wealth, maybe a hint of black in it, as she was showing authority, of knowing the queen of a young age and that she didn't care what people thought of her, i need to think of maybe another colour to make it bolder or fade into the green somehow.

Where Professional Models Meet Model Photographers - ModelMayhem: This was the sort of inspiration that made me think of this idea, but i wont have the yellow, and the skin will be different, more crumbling or faded onto the skin, But i need to try it out to know what will work best with what products.

More details about Elizabeth Brydges life a Lady in Waiting

-She was daughter to the Giles Brydges a Third baron Chandos and they were very wealth, so she was born into it.

-Became the maid of honor to the Queen, very young,as she had known her for a long time.

-Also a Gentlewoman of the bed chamber, so she saw all the goings on in Elizabeth's bedroom.

- She wasn't like anyone in that era, wanted to rebel, be different.

-Had a romance with Robert Devereux, the Earl Of Essex, who was the queen's favourite, which she didn't like at all.

-Was thrown out of somewhere, because she didn't have admission to be there.

I have found a portrait of her, that shows what she looked like, but i have taken a more contemporary looked to it, as i want her to be different than what she looked in the Elizabethan era.

http://www.elizabethan-era.org.uk/lady-in-waiting.htm

The colours i have really thought about was green for showing wealth, which she liked a lot, as she had it. The makeup would be bold, to show that, than when after the queen died, which i have made a design for, as i was not sure what i was going to look at.

Looking at colour and texture for my character design

I like this look, with the different shades of green and almost look fairy like, but the hair does remind me of the Elizabethan style of the heart shape. I think the lips are nice, but didnt want that in my design, but was inspired by these sort of colours for it.

https://www.pinterest.com/explore/medusa-makeup/

The eyelashes are very long and are a lovely green, and stand out with the eyeshadow, but i dont like the yellow green colour so much, as i think it is to much, but what i wanted to know more about is the eyelashes and how to do them.

http://thebeautyofcolor.tumblr.com/post/6623431576/green-eye-makeup-so-fairy-like

This is more of a feathered look and does inspire me with the black, but there is a slight blue in it, that does remind me of peacock feathers, i think what would have made it better though, would be to block out the eye brows, as then it would be applied over easier.

http://emmastrend.com/green-fairy-costume-makeup/

This is more fantasy, which i like with the feathers and texture applied to the face, and i think the dark green lips goes so well with the brown shade on the eyes and the effect. What it reminds me of is a transformation into a bird, starting with the skin and then into feathers, which is what i like the most.

Earth Nymph by dorchaighcloch.deviantart.com on @deviantART:
This is very elf like, but i choose it, because of the green colour and how it is half way down the face and my design is like this of how the green is in certain areas, what i dont like is that it looks slightly edited in the background and the green makeup in the middle of the face, but i still love how it is applied.

"Luminosity" by FlexDreams for “Lashmaker” magazine · Model: Maria MUA: Elena Yatkivskaya · Retouch: Big Bad Red.:
I love how this reminds me of feathers and i like how you cant see the person really at all, especially the eyes, makes it look fantasy like. They are swept across the face in different types of colours and i think it works, but would only really stand out in this lighting and this makeup used. What i like the most is the eyelashes with that lovely bright green colour that covers them, then the light splashes of the other colours down the face. It does remind me a lot of body painting, which i dont like as much, but i like how it is applied and how much the colours work together.

TOMAAS #photography | #bohemian #boho #hippie #gypsy:
This was when i was looking at tribal designs that i thought went well with the character before the queen died and she was powerful. The makeup is very simple and shows how i wanted her to look an and also the hair is what i created, but not with plaits at the front hanging down on each side of the face, but secured on top of the head.

https://www.pinterest.com/pin/3377768447049314/

Marina Korotkova:
This is more of the blue look, but i like how the blue is running down the face and very simple, but as she is very pale it stands out more, I like how the hair is incorporated by hanging down around onto her chest. The hair does remind me of Elizabethan style again with the sort of pin curls secured on all the head.
